COZUMELLAWYER law offices www.cozumellawyer.com located in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico, is a Law Firmresponsible of the use, divulgation, storage, access, handling, transfer, and disposal (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Processing”) of any information that is provided concerning an identified or identifiable individual (hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Data”). In compliance with the provisions of the Federal Mexican Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (hereinafter referred to as the “Law”), its Regulations (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulations”) and other applicable legal provisions, COZUMEL LAWYER will be obliged to observe always the principles of legality, purpose,loyalty, consent, quality, proportionality, information and responsibility.

This Privacy shall be consulted by the owner of the Personal Data ( in successive called the "Personal Data Owner") with anteriority to that provide any species of Personal Data to COZUMEL LAWYER.

Personal Data Owner will have a term of5 days for manifest his/her refusal for the processing of their Personal Data with respect to secondary purposes, safeguarding, in any case, the rights of the Owner to exercise their ARCO Rights.

COZUMEL LAWYER informs Personal Data Owner that, when the Personal Data are no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the aforementioned purposes, COZUMEL LAWYER will proceed with their cancellation.

In the event that COZUMEL LAWYER wishes to modify or expand the aforementioned purposes, obliges to modify thepresent Privacy Policy and to publish it at their website.

COZUMEL LAWYER treats the following Personal Data: ID: name, address, nationality, place and date of birth, marital status, social security number, TIN number, RFC or its equivalent in your country of origin, CURP, signature autograph,age, gender, image; ( ii ) Data of contact: address, cell phone, home phone, email; ( iii ) Employment data: Place where you work, Position or job description, work address, institutional telephone number, institutional email, income from fees or salaries; ( iv ) Migration data: migration quality; (v) financial data: tax information,  bank accounts information; legal data: those related with the reason for providing legal services; vii ) legal relationship with Mexican or foreign legal entities; viii ) relationship or knowledge of any controlling beneficiary.

Due to the professional services provided, any other personal data may be requested and collected by COZUMEL LAWYER from the owners to achieve the corresponding purposes. who to the provide this information accept be ofagreement with the processing of the data provided.

Whenever the Personal Data is provided directly by the Owner, it will be presumed theirs.  

 COZUMEL LAWYER declares that the Personal Data to which it has access may be transferred to third party service providers and suppliers with whom it has a legal relationship in compliance to the purposes of the service hired by the Personal Data Owner. By no reason COZUMEL LAWYER will share their Personal Data to third parties to except as provided in this Privacy Notice.

In case of the Personal Data Owner no longer wish that their Personal Data be transferred, will be able to Express their refusal by sending an email to assistant@cozumellawyer.com.

Likewise, Personal Data may be transferred without Personal Data Owner consent being legally required, to the authorities in order to comply with applicable regulations, to safeguard a public interest or for the administration of justice, or when required for the recognition, exercise or defense of a right in any judicial process or in the event that any assumption provided for in article 37 of the Law is updated.

e. The Owner will have the rights indicated below (hereinafter referred to as the “ ARCO Rights"):

(i) Right to know the type of Personal Data COZUMEL LAWYER keeps from the Owner (Access);

(ii)  Right to request the rectification of their Personal Data when these are outdated, inaccurate or incomplete (Rectification);

(iii)  COZUMEL records or databases LAWYER (Cancellation);
